Shewolf opens sharp — rose geranium, saffron and pepper, the way a cold room smells just before the fire takes. The heart softens into orchid, heliotrope, rose, palmarosa and clove leaf. Then the base arrives and stays: oud wood, ginger root and patchouli. Dark, resinous, unhurried.
Oud is what makes a candle like this expensive to make. It's the rare, dark heartwood from South-East Asia that perfumers build entire houses around, and nothing else smells remotely like it.
Hand-poured in Melbourne from coconut soy wax — no paraffin, no palm oil — with a lead-free cotton wick and Australian-made fragrance oils that are IFRA and RIFM approved, phthalate-free, paraben-free and never tested on animals.
420g. Single wick. 10cm high × 9cm diameter. Over 60 hours of burn.
