Octavia is a lidded trinket box in resin with a brushed gold finish, crowned by a sculpted octopus whose tentacles curl and coil over the rim as though she's mid-thought about lifting it herself. The body is round and softly urn-shaped, raised on a stepped foot. The finish is brushed rather than polished — closer to aged brass in lamplight than anything showroom-shiny — which lets the texture catch every ridge of the tentacles.
The lid lifts away completely, so there's a proper hiding place beneath all the drama. Rings and earrings by the bed. Keys, matches and stamps by the door. All the small domestic clutter that has nowhere dignified to live.
Handsome enough that most people won't think to look inside.
