Description

Somebody painted a long-tailed bird onto this jar by hand. Then the branch it is resting on. Then the plum blossom coming into flower around it — and then carried the whole scene up over the lid, so the story doesn't stop at the rim.

Constance is a lidded porcelain canister in the classic blue and white, generous enough at 21cm to hold a room together on her own. The domed lid lifts away by a deep navy knob.

Hand-painted and hand-glazed, which means the bird on yours sits at a slightly different angle to the bird on anyone else's.

Material — Porcelain

Colour & Finish — Hand-painted cobalt blue on white, navy knob

Height (cm) — 21

Width (cm) — 17
